ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE 99^TH TEST OF PROFICIENCY IN KOREAN (TOPIK)

(Test date: April 13, 2025)

1. Instructions for test registration

• Registration Period in each region:

• Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen and Da Nang: January 14, 2025 (Tuesday) – January 21, 2025 (Tuesday)
• Hanoi: January 15, 2025 (Wednesday) – January 21, 2025 (Tuesday)
• Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat: January 16, 2025 (Thursday) – January 21, 2025 (Tuesday)

Please note: The term "Closed for registration" refers to the final time when the system records a candidate's registration. If all the seats at a test site/region are filled before this time, candidates will no longer be able to register for the test at that specific test site/region.

• Test fees: TOPIK I: 550.000VND (VAT included) / TOPIK II: 770.000VND (VAT included)

• Candidates are not entitled to receive a refund when canceling their successful registration or violating one of the regulations announced by IIG Vietnam.
• Payment must be made within 15 minutes after candidates complete the registration form. After this duration of time, the application shall be discarded, and candidates have to start the registration process over again.
• In case of force majeure, candidates will be refunded according to the Regulations on TOPIK Test registration.

• Documents required:

• A 3x4cm ID photo file (354 * 472 pixels, file size is not less than 10kb and does not exceed 200kb) (IIG Vietnam’s requirements on the ID photo: https://online.iigvietnam.com/en/news/quy-dinh-ve-giay-to-tuy-than-anh-the-ky-thi-topik/)
• ID document (Citizen ID card/ID card/Passport): a photo file of the front and back of the ID document (the file size is not less than 10kb and does not exceed 500kb). • A bank card/bank account that allows online payment.
• For candidates with temporary/permanent disabilities who wish to take the TOPIK test, please carefully read the Guidance on Supporting Candidates with Disabilities and submit the application for support as instructed no later than the last official registration date.

• Distribution of Test Admission Form: An email containing Candidate ID Number, test room and other instructions will be sent to candidates 2 weeks before the test date, so please check your email regularly.

3. Test-day instructions

• Test room check-in time: concludes 30 minutes before the test commencement.
• Documents required: Test Registration Form (printed out from the system as instructed) and ID documents (the same documents used for online registration).
• Important notes:

• Candidates are allowed to bring water bottles into the test room; however, only drinking water in transparent plastic bottles which are not labeled or marked with any characters or symbols is accepted.
• Candidates are allowed to bring correction tapes.
• Candidates use the thick head of the double-sided pen provided on the test day for the Listening and Reading Test and use the thin head for the Writing Test.
• During the Listening Test, candidates are only allowed to fill in the Listening answers; during the Reading/Writing Test, candidates are only allowed to fill in the Reading/Writing answers. Do not fill in the answers for one test during the exam time of another test.
• Candidates are required to surrender all electronic devices, such as cell phones, and ensure they are on silent mode or turned off, to the Proctor prior to the start of the test.
• Candidates are required to thoroughly review all the Regulations and Instructions for the TOPIK test provided by IIG Vietnam and agree to comply with them before finalizing their registration. It is important to note that once the registration process is successfully completed, candidates are not permitted to change the type of the TOPIK test.
• Registrations will not be accepted once the registration period has concluded.
• Candidates make sure to take the exam at the test location registered (candidates will not be permitted to take the test at any places rather than the registered venue).
• Regarding the adjustment of personal information, candidates need to carefully study the Regulations on adjustment of TOPIK test taker information. Test takers who need to adjust information (if the information is subject to adjustment) before the test date should contact hotline 1900 636 929 no later than 5:30 PM on March 21, 2025, for guidance and support.
• Regarding the violations of regulations and procedures for handling such violations, candidates need to carefully study the Regulations for handling violations during the TOPIK test and Guidance on procedure of handling violations.
