How early should candidates arrive for the exam and what must they bring?
Candidates should arrive at the exam location 30 minutes before the exam time to complete entry procedures. They need to bring:
- A valid passport or ID/Citizen card.
- The exam Admission Tickets
Questions on the same topic
- Laptop, School-managed Chromebooks or tablet with external physical keyboard with the Bluebook™ application installed and exam setup completed.
- Identification documents and the admission ticket
- HB or 2B pencils equipped with an eraser for multiple-choice sections
- Black or dark blue ink pen for the essay section
- A watch that does not have internet connectivity, sound, or alarms
- Up to 2 approved calculators for exams like Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics, or statistics tests. See acceptable calculators at https://apstudents.collegeboard.org/exam-policies-guidelines/calculator-policies.
- A ruler is allowed for Physics test only; a protractor is prohibited.

Once registration and payment are completed, candidates cannot change their registered exam subjects. If a candidate wishes to change a subject, they must cancel the current registration and re-register for the new subject.

Yes, candidates are permitted to use scratch paper; however, they are not allowed to bring their own scratch paper into the testing room. Scratch paper will be provided by IIG on the day of the exam.
