How early should candidates arrive for the exam and what must they bring?
Candidates should arrive at the exam location 30 minutes before the exam time to complete entry procedures. They need to bring:
- A valid passport or ID/Citizen card.
- The exam Admission Tickets

'For most AP Exams, student’s score is a weighted combination of the scores on the 2 sections, multiple-choice and free-response. The final score for each AP Exam is reported on a 5-point scale that offers a recommendation about how qualified you are to receive college credit and placement:
5 = Extremely well qualified
4 = Very well qualified
3 = Qualified
2 = Possibly qualified
1 = No recommendation
If your college has given you a personal online account, you may be able to sign in to that site and see whether your scores have arrived. Otherwise, you can contact your college’s admission office and ask.
The AP score reporting system shows you what date your scores were sent to each institution, but it won’t tell you when the scores arrived. The exact amount of time it takes for a college to receive your scores depends on when you submit your request and the location of your score recipient.
