What should candidates expect on the day of the TOEFL iBT test?
On the day of the TOEFL iBT test, please make sure to:
- Arrive at the test venue at least 30 minutes before the designated check-in time.
- Bring your confirmation ticket and a valid ID document, such as an ID card, Citizen ID card, or Passport, to complete the test entry process.
Keep in mind that there must be a minimum of 12 days between each attempt of the test.

- Candidates can collect their Score Certificates after 3 working days (for the Hanoi office) or 5 working days (for the HCM City and Da Nang offices), excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
- You should request for the service at the time of exam registration or at least two working days before your exam date.
- There is a fee of 210,000 VND for this service.
To register for the TOEFL iBT test, candidates should follow these steps:
- Visit the ETS website and complete the registration process online.
- During registration, provide your personal information, select your preferred test date, and choose a test venue in Vietnam.
- An international payment card is required to pay the exam fee online.
- After successful registration, you will receive a confirmation email containing your test ticket.
TOEFL iBT Test Structure:
As of July 26, 2023, the TOEFL iBT test consists of four sections, with a shorter duration of approximately 2 hours:
- Reading Comprehension: 20 questions in 35 minutes
- Listening Comprehension: 28 questions in 36 minutes
- Speaking: 4 tasks in 16 minutes
- Writing: 2 tasks in 29 minutes
Scores are reported on a scale from 0 to 120 points.
