The SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admission in the United States. Not only that but SAT score is also accepted by many universities around the world like those in Canada, Australia, England, Korea, Singapore… The SAT is managed by College Board and developed by Educational Testing Service (ETS). IIG Vietnam – the national representative of ETS, has been organizing SAT in Vietnam.
Starting from 2023, the College Board introduces Digital SAT testing, which offers several new features:
- Candidates have the option to take the SAT on their personal laptops, tablets, or devices provided by the test organizers if they register in advance with the College Board.
- The Digital SAT test has a shorter duration of about 2 hours, compared to the previous 3-hour format.
- This format enhances security as it eliminates the need for test book delivery.
- Elementary level students can take up to two Standard tests and one Flex test per testing year. Remember, that the Elementary level is not available on every Standard test date.
- Middle and Upper level students can take the SSAT multiple times per testing year. There are limits for the various modes of SSAT testing and not all may be available where you are. For the computer-based SSATs, Prometric (available worldwide) and SSAT at Home (only available in the US and Canada), students may take up to a combined total of 2 per testing year. For the paper-based SSATs, Flex and Standard, students may take all the Standard tests and up to 1 Flex test per testing year.
