POLICIES ON TEST RESCHEDULING AND TEST CANCELLATION FOR

ENGLISH TESTS AT IIG VIETNAM

 

IIG Vietnam provides the following specific policies to ensure candidates have clear and accurate information about test rescheduling and cancellation.

1. Policy on test rescheduling

  • Maximum number of reschedules: 1.
  • Rescheduling deadline: At least 5 working days before the test date (for candidates registering directly with IIG Vietnam).
  • Rescheduling fee: 50% of the test fee will apply.
  • Candidates may reschedule to any available test date that is not yet full, provided it falls within the allowed timeframe.

2. Policy on test cancellation   

  • Cancellation deadline: At least 5 working days before the test date (for candidates registering directly with IIG Vietnam).
  • Cancellation fee:
    • 50% of the test fee will be refunded for cancellations made on time. 
    • No refund will be granted for late cancellations or no-shows.

3. Rescheduling Policy for Force Majeure Reasons

  • Candidates may request a free rescheduling if the reason qualifies as force majeure and valid supporting documents are submitted, as detailed below:

Natural disasters, epidemics

Candidate’s place of residence or test location is affected by disasters such as floods, landslides, storms, snow, or infectious disease outbreaks

• Official confirmation from the local government regarding the disaster or epidemic situation

Health issues

Candidate suffers from conditions such as cough, fever, flu, accidents, pregnancy, or other illnesses that affect their ability to attend the test

• Medical certificate, prescription with official stamp and doctor’s signature

• The documents must include diagnosis and health condition.

• For minor illnesses: Medical check-up must be within 0–2 days before the test day

• For serious illnesses requiring hospitalization: Duration will be considered based on medical records

Bereavement

Applies to the candidate or their immediate family: grandparents, parents, spouse, children, siblings

Death notice or funeral announcement
Document proving relationship with the deceased

Lost identification

Loss of required identification such as National ID/CCCD/Passport, and no valid alternative document is available

Official confirmation of loss or appointment for reissuance with police stamp and signature

 

  • Rescheduling Deadline: Within 5 working days prior to the test day.
  • Rescheduling Fee: Free of charge.
  • Important: Registration and selection of a new test date must be completed in the system no later than the original test date. After this deadline, rescheduling requests due to force majeure will no longer be accepted.
  • Document Review: IIG Vietnam will review the submitted supporting documents. If the documents are invalid or not approved, the candidate will remain scheduled for the original test date.

4. Procedure

Candidates must submit rescheduling or cancellation requests through IIG Vietnam’s online registration system by following the instructions in the corresponding test registration guidelines.

 This policy applies to candidates who register for the test via the online system starting from June 9, 2025. For candidates who completed their registration at IIG Vietnam offices, please follow the instructions provided at the time of registration, as indicated on your test admission slip.
