GUIDELINES FOR TOPIK IBT CANDIDATES
Please read following instructions carefully to make sure you are fully prepared for the TOPIK IBT at IIG Vietnam:
- Candidates take full responsibility for providing accurate information and complying with the regulated specifications during the registration process.
- Candidates must print their Test Admission Form in color, on A4 paper size, portrait orientation, as instructed in the email titled “Notification: Your Candidate ID Number and Test Room Information”. The printed form must be brought on the day of the test.
- Candidates must bring the original and valid ID card/Citizen ID card/Passport/Birth certificate (original or an official legal copy) along with the Certificate of Identity Confirmation (document used to register for the test) on the day of the test. Failure to present these documents or discrepancies between the ID information and the registration form will result in disqualification from the test, with no refund of the test fee.
- Candidates must ensure that ID document and photos on their test profile comply with the Requirements on photos and ID Documents for the TOPIK Test. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from the test, and the test fee will not be refunded.
- If a candidate is unable to bring an identity document that matches the one used during registration due to objective reasons such as police revocation, damage, or loss, they may use other identification documents to take the test. However, the candidate must provide a scanned copy of the identification verification letter issued by the police and their personal information to info@iigvietnam.edu.vn no later than two days after the test date.
- Prohibited items to bring into the examination room: All electronic devices such as mobile phones, digital cameras, MP3 players, electronic dictionaries, pens with cameras, electronic calculators, smartwatches, Bluetooth headsets, food, drinks, etc. If candidates bring prohibited devices into the examination room, they must ensure that the sound, alarm modes, and power are turned off before handing them over to the proctor. During the examination, if the proctor discovers prohibited items in the candidate's bag, or if any submitted electronic devices emit sounds or noise, the candidate will be dealt with according to the examination room regulations.
- The test fee is non-refundable, and candidates are not allowed to change or cancel their test schedule under any circumstances, except for regulated force majeure cases (please refer to the Policies and Terms of Payment for TOPIK Test). Candidates shall not be admitted to the test and will not be entitled to receive a refund if: the registered ID information does not match the original ID document, or fail to bring the original ID document/bring an invalid ID document, or the candidate’s legal name differs from what appears on the Test Registration Form, or there is no visible photo on the Test Registration Form, or no proof that the test taker is the same person who registered for the test. Additionally, candidates currently under disciplinary suspension from the TOPIK exam who still register for the test will not be eligible for a refund of the exam fee.
- Candidates must take the test at the designated test site as registered (test site changes are not permitted).
- Candidates must arrive at the assigned test room at least 40 minutes before the scheduled test time. Late arrivals will not be permitted to enter the test room.
- Candidates must be seated in their assigned seat in the test room before the check-in period ends. After the check-in time has concluded, candidates will not be allowed to enter the test room.

Note: Candidates are not allowed to take breaks between sections.
- If a candidate needs to correct information declared on their application on the test day, they must review the Regulations on Adjustment of TOPIK Test Taker Information and follow the proctor's instructions.
- Candidates are not allowed to leave the test room during the test. However, in cases of emergencies, such as illness requiring restroom use, candidates must quietly raise their hand to signal the proctor and follow the hall proctor's instructions to prevent fraud (except in emergencies).
- If a candidate leaves the test midway due to illness or other emergency reasons, they must sign a commitment form, and their test results will be canceled. Additionally, candidates who quit the test midway will not be permitted to leave the test site until the test concludes to prevent fraud.
- Candidates must strictly adhere to the test room regulations and the proctor's instructions. The Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) is a copyrighted product of the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) and cannot be published, copied, or distributed without the copyright holder's permission. Intentional violations will result in civil and criminal liability and a ban from taking the TOPIK test. Cases of cheating or regulation violations during the test will be handled by IIG Vietnam in accordance with the Regulations for Handling Violations During the TOPIK Test.
- Candidates should log in to their personal account on the website https://online.iigvietnam.com/ to update information related to the test.
- The Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) certificate is valid for two years from the score announcement date.
- Within four weeks of receiving the test result notification, candidates should contact the hotline at 1900 636 929 if they find errors in their personal information. However, corrections will not be supported for errors caused by the candidate.
